Reminders:
- Deadline: May 15
- Complete Application = 3 surveys: For a school to be considered for the Honor Roll and to receive the personalized evaluation, each of the three surveys must be submitted. Please be in contact with your fellow staff members to be sure each survey has been submitted.
- Scholarship Drawing: To be considered for the $2,000 in scholarships, all 3 surveys must be completed online by the deadline.
- Evaluations: All schools that complete each of the 3 surveys by the deadline will receive a detailed evaluation that offers feedback and compares it to schools nationwide. Evaluations will be sent to schools following the Top 50 announcement.

Important Information
Eligibility:
- Location: Schools must be located in the United States of America, or one of its territories.
- Enrollment: Schools must have at least 35 students in grades 9-12.
- Classes: Schools must be enrolling students in grades 9-12, or for new schools, have an active plan to enroll each of those grades.
- Organization: A formal school status is required. Group study programs, online schools, and home school associations are not eligible.
- Catholic: All diocesan, religious order, and independent Roman Catholic high schools are eligible to apply.
Other Notes:
- Records: The personal, contact, and response information submitted on a survey is kept private. Contact information is only used by the Honor Roll for communication purposes and any published reports will not include negative identifying information.
- Process: Applications are reviewed during the summer, and the Top 50 list will be announced in the fall.
- Honesty: Survey responses are randomly checked for statistical accuracy. Exaggerated or intentionally falsified survey responses result in a school’s disqualification.
Application Instructions and Tips:
- Gather Statistics First: To reduce your survey completion time, we suggest gathering statistics first. Collecting information will make the process more efficient. The following checklists will assist you in this process:
- Time: Each survey can take over one hour to complete after gathering statistics.
- Thorough and Articulate: Complete each question clearly and thoroughly. Incomplete answers cannot be considered, and schools will not be contacted to submit missing information.
- Online: We encourage schools to apply online. If a school still wishes to complete a hard-copy application, the surveys can be downloaded from the website and must be submitted by the deadline with a $25 processing fee.
- Grades 9-12 Only: In your responses, please only include information for grades 9-12.
- Staff Help: In gathering information, we urge survey responders to work with fellow staff members. The guidance counselor, campus minister, chaplain are helpful, as is consulting the theology or social studies faculty.
- Comments: Feel free to expound on any responses in the additional comments section at the end of the survey.
- Extension: If extenuating circumstances force a school to miss the application deadline, a short extension can be arranged by contacting Honor Roll staff.
